Vehicle Wear and Tear

The use of polyurethane fill ensures less equipment damage due to prematurely worn out components as a result of lessened g-force transmission. Mounting equipment for solid tires is very expensive, and the areas around the holes in aperture tires are more prone to cracking, which increases tire wear and hastens the end of tire life cycle. Additionally, tire filled pneumatics, commonly known in the industry as foam fill, enable Off-the-Road equipment to safely “glide” over broken glass, nails, sharp metal and rocks without the worry of flats – keeping job site operations maximized.

Because tires with polyurethane liquid fill can operate at cooler temperatures, and also handle heated environments and hot load “splash and spill” (such as molten metal dripping onto pneumatic tires during the dumping process), operators can also rest assured that their equipment, and productivity, will continue at a “full speed” pace. 

Using tire fill also ensures:

  • Less tip-overs due to sudden flats
  • Better ballast for steep hillside jobs or unusual overload conditions
  • Eliminates the potential for tires or wheels to fail with explosive force
  • Fewer bent wheels
  • Less mechanical downtime from tire malfunction
  • Extended “limp-in” capability (prevents drivers from getting stuck out in the field from premature tire failure)
